A SHORT HISTORY

The Golf Centre was opened in 1966 and was originally known at The John Jacobs Golf Centre.

It was originally only a Driving Range until 1971 when a 9 hole course was opened and named Wideopen Golf Club. It remained 9 holes until extended into an 18 hole course in 1984 and in 1986 changed its name to Parklands Golf Club.
